Stretch Wrap

Also known as: Stretch Film, Pallet Wrap, Cling Film

Definition

Stretch wrap secures pallet loads by stretching elastic plastic film around products. Unlike shrink wrap, it doesn’t require heat—the stretched film clings to itself and holds items tightly.

How Stretch Wrap Works

  1. Film stretched 100-300% of original size
  2. Wrapped around pallet load
  3. Film’s memory creates holding tension
  4. Layers bond to each other
  5. Load stabilized for transport

Gauge Selection

Film thickness measured in gauge or microns:
